Danburite is a silicate mineral found scattered throughout the planet in unassuming colors from pale yellow to brown. The present stone is an exceptional gem-quality specimen of very high clarity. With a Mohs hardness of 7 to 7.5, danburite is durable enough to be mounted in jewelry and worn as frequently as any major gemstone. Pretty pastel yellow in hue, this is a fine oval-cut Danburite of natural pastel yellow color. Weighing approximately 42.12 carats and measuring 25.0 x 18.6 x 13.9mm
