The gorge case with rippled handle over the oval bevelled glass top plate and bevelled sides set within a brass frame decorated with engraved foliate scrolls on a finely hatched ground, the signed white enamel Roman dial with blued steel moon hands set over enamel subsidiaries for days of the week, date and alarm, the spring driven movement with frosted gilt lever platform escapement with cut and compensated bimetallic balance striking on a bell, signed on the backplate, the three-position selection lever set to the underside with English instructions for Hours & Quarter/ Silent/Quarters Only 17cm high (6.5 in)
