    In the 1980s Warhol was reimagining themes from across art historical periods, from iconic Italian Renaissance portraits to Nineteenth Century European paintings.
    Alexander the Great is based on a Hellenistic bust of Attalus I King of Pergamon and is Warhol's only series with classical sculpture.
