Movement: Bridge caliber with wolf's tooth winding, counterpoised escapement, bimetallic balance, overcoiled spring, lever set, single button crown wheel flyback chronograph work planted on train and barrel bridges, activated by button in case band with locking pin to engage closed lid
Dial: White enamel, fifth seconds and minute rings enclosing roman chapters, subsidiary seconds, blued hands
Case: Lids with elaborate monogram and date, glazed cuvette, no. 11039

  • In the early 1870's, Tiffany built a state of the art watch factory in Geneva to produce high grade watches. It operated briefly before it was sold to Patek Phillipe who agreed to supply watches to Tiffany. Huber and Banbery, fig. 154 illustrate a hunter cased Patek Philippe chronograph employing the same design.
