Glass

Bonhams is the only international auction house to hold dedicated sales of British and European glass. Our internationally renowned London sales take place at Knightsbridge and regularly include early Venetian and façon de Venise pieces, engraved and enamelled glass, early English drinking glasses, Regency, Bohemian and later 19th century glass, together with paperweights from the classic period. We have sold several celebrated collections, including those of Baroness de Bellet, Ron and Mary Thomas, A.C. Hubbard, Horst Mühleib, and Klaus Biemann. Our comprehensive illustrated catalogues are in many cases now standard reference works.

Notable successes include the two most expensive pieces of English cameo glass ever to be sold at auction and record auction prices for Beilby enamelled and early German engraved glass. Our specialists have unrivalled expertise in providing advice and valuations internationally and would be delighted to hear from you.
