California Artists at Bonhams: Public exhibition that celebrates the opening of Bonhams new San Francisco office. Opens January 14 till February 7.

San Francisco – Bonhams San Francisco unveils Trailblazers: California Artists at Bonhams, a selling exhibition that celebrates Bonhams legacy of California artists. The artworks featured are from pioneering Bay Area artists such as Ruth Asawa, Jay DeFeo and Wayne Thiebaud.  It will also showcase works from Light and Space artists based in Southern California and will include the work of Gisela Colon, a second generation light and space artist. This will be the first time her work is presented in Northern California and will be featured in context with her predecessors Mary Corse, Larry Bell and Peter Alexander.  This exhibition will be the first held at Bonhams new stunning San Francisco gallery space at 601 California Street.

Amelia Manderscheid, Senior Director of Postwar and Contemporary Art, comments: "We are thrilled to present this unique exhibition at Bonhams San Francisco, which celebrates Bonhams' long-standing commitment to the West Coast and its legacy of championing California artists."

This free and public exhibition opens January 14 and runs through February 7. There will be an opening reception on Friday, January 17, from 5:00-7:00pm and all are welcome to attend.
