Aimee Honig

As Head of Sale, Aimée Honig leads the Impressionist & Modern Art sales in New York and is responsible for sourcing business for the global auctions. During her tenure she has worked on major sales, most recently on the sale of the painting by Picasso, Femme au béret mauve, which sold for over $10,000,000 in May 2021 – a top price achieved across the US Bonhams salerooms.

Aimée builds relationships with international clients to manage and develop their collections. Her notable consignments include works by Max Ernst from the Dorothea Tanning collection, and Leonora Carrington's important oil Operation Wednesday which sold for over $900,000, more than double its pre-sale estimate, at Bonhams inaugural The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale in March 2021.

Before joining Bonhams in 2017, Aimée worked at other international auction houses and gained a Master's degree in Art Market Connoisseurship from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. She has a particular interest in the avant-garde movements from the early 20th Century, and Surrealist Art.
